We've officially handed over stewardship of the Common Competency Framework to the Electricity Engineers' Association of New Zealand.
From here, the EEA will take the lead on maintaining and updating the Framework (and the guidance that goes with it) to make sure it continues to serve the sector well.
You’ll find the Framework on the EEA website here
More about the Common Competency Framework
The Framework sets out the core competencies needed to safely work on electricity distribution networks here in Aotearoa. Having a shared set of competencies means we’re all doing things the same way. This makes things safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective, especially when people are moving between businesses. That’s even more important during emergencies, when crews need to jump in and help out across the sector.
A massive thanks to everyone who contributed to developing the Framework. And a special shoutout to Ken Stirling, who’s did an awesome job keeping the framework up to date over the years.
We will leave this page live for the time being in case people are still visiting it trying to find the Framework.
