Governance
ENA is an incorporated society and an annually elected board governs our operations. Up to six people can be elected to the ENA Board, upon nomination from members.
Election of the Board occurs annually at the AGM. No member can nominate more than one person to the Board, and all current members have one vote at the AGM. Any person who is a representative of a member can be nominated and elected to the Board.
Only companies that have paid their subscriptions for the current financial year are entitled to make Board nominations or to vote at the AGM.
The Association’s rules provide for an election if more than six nominations are received. In addition, the Board may invite up two additional persons associated with Members to join.
If more than six nominations are received, an election will be held by ballot. In the event of a tied vote for the final place on the Board, the Chair shall instruct the scrutinisers to conduct a drawing by lot process to decide the final position.
If six or fewer nominations are received, the Chairperson will declare those candidates duly elected.
